Monday 6:30 am. The alarm sounds. Charlie Watson lazily opens his eyes and yawns, crawling into the bathroom with the recurring feeling of not having really rested. Gone are those Mondays when he went out for a run at untimely hours with his vigorous neighbor. As the shower eases his conscience, he thinks about the day ahead.
A new version change in the system complicates your life. To his intense day to day, with the pressure of producing to the limit and the frequent stresses, new transformation projects are now joining. Those innovation nuts keep launching unclear initiatives and likely source of problems for their department.
Things are going too fast and you feel like your 18 years in the company are less and less respected as a credential of value
Standing at the traffic light on the way to the factory, he looks left and right, finding less and less knowing glances.. Self-driving cars proliferate and hurried pedestrians only give respite to their screens watching some hyperactive drone in pursuit of their destination.
Things were easier at first for Charlie. Lthe first years were fantastic. I had solid knowledge, added value, I learned from everyone, was everywhere and felt full and influential. In a short time the company, cheese maker, grew a lot in the sector and 5 years of incorporation, Charlie had promoted to a position of responsibility that fulfilled his youthful aspirations.
But in the last 2 years , since they were absorbed by a multinational, he recognized that he was stagnating. The results weren't bad but changes proliferated around him at an uncomfortable rate and him he lacked time to always recognize obstacles before any opportunity that others insisted on seeing.
Charlie hadn't done anything new for the first time for too long.. More and more consciously, I was one of those who believed that the future was not what it used to be and that everything was going too fast to be controlled...
Charlie arrived at the factory at 8 o'clock and after a few “Good Morning” reluctantly to the motivated on duty (Would they smoke something to be so positive ?) Gloria, su manager, I called him to his office to introduce him to a new colleague.
– Good morning charlie, this is Ch33se, your new cyber assistant, is part of the pilot program of the plant. That robotic slap recalls in an instant all the lost opportunities, the change of department rejected so as not to complicate life, so much training despised by the help "day by day", so many departmental disputes brandishing ego, so many conversations he was never really receptive to …
En summary, a lot of time and energy wasted at a piggy trot doing the right thing, cultivating complaint and seeking responsibilities far from himself, with hierarchy and experience as armor to camouflage doubts and insecurities ...

Very good! Really hooks. I could read a book about this, eh? 😉 The futuristic part is very realistic, and in fact it begins with feelings that we already have today to a lesser degree. How to face this change and how to redirect it to opportunity is the key. We still have a lot to learn from that last point.. All the best!
